The surprising Muscadet
Its singularity? Our Muscadet is aged in natural concrete ovoid vat that provides a natural micro-oxygenation.
The ovoid cuvée was born in 2016. After tasting a few wines at some colleague winemakers, also vinified in these curious concrete eggs, the Malidain trio took their chance.
Ovoid vats bring minerality and complexity to this Muscadet. Unlike wood barrels, this method does not “denature” the wine.
Brilliant with gold tints robe with a mineral and a minty nose. Round and ample, this Muscadet offers a nice fat attack while keeping a mineral persistent finish.
This Muscadet will be the perfect companion of fishes and cocktail dinners. It will also pair with some cheese like Curé Nantais (typical soft cheese made of cow’s milk from Nantes).
This confidential cuvée make it an occasion wine.
